Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to ensure safety.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide basic medication counseling.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in the compounding of medications as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license (optional depending on specific duties).
