Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Prioritize patients based on medical urgency using ESI criteria
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear communication to patients/families during critical situations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency services
- Support disaster preparedness and mass casualty response
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with 3+ years clinical experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in emergency/trauma triage protocols
- Mastery of EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience in high-volume emergency departments
- BSN or higher degree preferred
