Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control systems including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication therapy management programs
- Prepare sterile compounds and maintain cleanroom environments per USP 797 standards
- Provide exceptional customer service while counseling patients on medication usage and side effects
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and record maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong mathematical aptitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex medication information clearly
