Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles in pharmacy management systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for medication coverage
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
- Assist in sterile compounding of IV medications and chemotherapy preparations
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license or certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Strong mathematical skills for precise medication dosing calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and error-prevention capabilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
