Responsibilities
- Process Prescriptions: Accurately fill, verify, and prepare prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Greet patients, answer questions regarding medications, and provide exceptional service at the pharmacy counter.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, receive shipments, and organize medication storage areas to ensure availability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and company safety protocols.
- Medication Preparation: Perform sterile compounding and label prescriptions according to legal standards.
- Insurance Verification: Communicate with insurance providers to resolve prior authorizations and billing issues.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Licensure: Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect errors and maintain high accuracy in documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems (e.g., McKesson, Cerner).
