Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and physician orders to ensure safety.
- Manage inventory levels and restock pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding and specialized tasks.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant workspace.
- Provide basic pharmaceutical counseling to patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid state license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in NM.
