Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verification: Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock pharmacy shelves, and manage pharmaceutical inventory using our advanced ERP system.
- Customer Service: Assist patients with medication questions, process payments, and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Documentation: Accurately document all prescription data and patient interactions in the pharmacy management software.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to sit for the national certification exam.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- License: Valid state pharmacy technician license in Ohio.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills for dosage calculations.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Experience: Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred but not always required for high-potential candidates.
