Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions accurately and efficiently according to legal and ethical standards.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers and patients with medication inquiries, insurance questions, and refills.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management and patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
