Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication profiles
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automated dispensing equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, and interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and automated dispensing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- High school diploma or equivalent required
