Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Preparation: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Patient Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and counseling patients on medication usage.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage drug expiration dates, and assist in the receiving and stocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine quality control checks to ensure all prescriptions meet legal and safety standards before dispensing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Strong knowledge of drug interactions, dosages, and pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
