Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications using provided automated dispensing systems
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies using digital tracking tools
- Assist pharmacists in preparing IV medications and chemotherapy agents
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Conduct quality assurance checks using provided verification equipment
- Provide patient education on medication usage with visual aids
- Maintain sterile compounding environments per USP 797 standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to operate automated dispensing robots
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic IV certification preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
