Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately using provided automated dispensing systems
- Manage pharmacy inventory with digital tracking tools and automated ordering systems
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and verification
- Operate prescription labeling machines and packaging equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Process insurance claims using integrated pharmacy software
- Conduct medication reconciliation with electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license or certification
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience with equipment operation
- Proficiency in automated dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell, Pyxis)
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Ability to stand for extended periods with provided ergonomic equipment
- CPR certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
