Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications using provided automated dispensing systems
- Operate advanced compounding equipment for customized medication formulations
- Maintain precise inventory control with digital tracking systems
- Process insurance claims and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on sterile product preparation under laminar flow hoods
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure compliance with TSBP regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience with automated equipment
- Certification (CPhT) preferred but not required
- Proficiency in medication dispensing software (e.g., Omnicell, Talyst)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
