Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications using automated dispensing equipment
- Manage pharmacy inventory and equipment calibration per protocol
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide medication counseling to patients under pharmacist supervision
- Operate automated compounding devices and IV preparation systems
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Train on new pharmacy technologies and equipment upgrades
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Ability to operate automated dispensing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
