Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense medications using provided automated dispensing systems and robotic technology
- Manage pharmacy inventory with barcode scanning systems and automated tracking software
- Process insurance claims through integrated electronic health record systems
- Operate sterile compounding equipment for IV preparations under aseptic conditions
- Utilize digital prescription verification tools to ensure patient safety
- Provide exceptional customer service using tablet-based consultation tools
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 1 year experience with automated pharmacy equipment
- Proficiency in prescription processing software (e.g., Omnicell, McKesson)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medication safety protocols
- Ability to operate sterile compounding devices (e.g., IV robots)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
