Responsibilities
- Prepare and fill prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to legal and ethical standards.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting patients with medication usage.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and point-of-sale systems.
- Assist the pharmacist in medication therapy management and clinical services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid California State Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., RX30, Cerner) is a plus.
