Responsibilities
- Dispensing: Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verification: Verify prescriptions for proper dosage, allergies, and drug interactions before dispensing.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and place orders for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients and healthcare professionals to answer questions and provide medication counseling.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
