About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at Kroger, you will collaborate with pharmacists to ensure the quality and safety of pharmacy services. You will interact with customers daily, answering questions and providing top-notch service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for customers accurately.
- Verify prescriptions for correct dosage, ingredients, and patient information.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems to input and process prescriptions efficiently.
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management, restocking shelves, and ordering supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving complaints.
- Manage cash transactions and process insurance claims (COB, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organized, and compliant with all health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required (trainable candidates will be considered).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
