Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to legal and ethical standards.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries with precision.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and maintaining stock organization.
- Assist customers with medication-related questions and provide basic health education.
- Ensure the pharmacy maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist team to ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred but willing to train highly motivated candidates.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software systems.
