Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation: Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to physician orders.
- Quality Assurance: Verify patient information, physician orders, and drug interactions to ensure safety and compliance.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and recording damaged or expired products.
- Financial Processing: Process insurance claims, handle copay transactions, and reconcile daily cash drawers.
- Pharmacist Support: Assist pharmacists with compounding, medication preparation, and administrative tasks.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment at all times.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering medication inquiries and assisting with insurance questions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Certification: PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
