Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels and process supply orders efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions regarding medications and insurance.
- Assist with the billing process, insurance verifications, and handling payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment compliant with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- Monitor for drug interactions and alert the Pharmacist to potential safety issues.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Valid Pennsylvania State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
