Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications, including labeling and dosage calculations.
- Assist the pharmacist with inventory management and stock replenishment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, including HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to transport medications (if applicable).
