Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and prepare IV admixtures under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Assist with medication compounding and sterile product preparation
- Ensure compliance with NYS pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow and efficiency
Qualifications
- Active NYS Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic math skills for dosage calculations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
