Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and patient information before dispensing medication.
- Prepare and package prescription medications, including compounding and labeling.
- Assist the Pharmacist in maintaining accurate inventory records and managing stock levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns for patients and healthcare providers.
- Process insurance claims and manage patient payment transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Handle controlled substances and adhere to strict DEA safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible for certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
