Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications ensuring accuracy and safety standards.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications.
- Process insurance claims and handle copayments and transactions efficiently at the point of service.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding prescriptions and insurance issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols.
