Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and verifying the expiration of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers by answering questions regarding medications, insurance coverage, and general pharmacy operations.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform basic health screenings and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliant).
