Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications following strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and resolve any discrepancies with licensed pharmacists.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide education on proper usage and potential side effects.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process insurance claims and manage reimbursement documentation accurately.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and software systems efficiently.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health standards.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT preferred).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Valid state license (if applicable).
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management systems.
