Responsibilities
Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions by checking doctor's orders and patient information.Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to patients.Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of medications.Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving pharmaceutical supplies.Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues.Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA.Maintain accurate records of all transactions and medications dispensed.
Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
