Responsibilities
- Prepare and Process Prescriptions: Accurately fill prescriptions by reading physician orders, preparing medication, and labeling bottles according to state and federal regulations.
- Customer Service: Greet patients warmly, answer questions regarding medications, and provide excellent service to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceutical supplies, and manage the pharmacy inventory system to ensure medications are always available.
- Assist Pharmacists: Support the licensed pharmacist in the dispensing process, including checking for drug interactions and verifying dosages.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle insurance claims, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records and files.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA privacy laws, pharmacy safety protocols, and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, nursing assistant, or customer service role is preferred but not required for our paid training program.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and basic computer literacy.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the pharmacy schedule.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate standard pharmacy equipment.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
