Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and prepare prescription medications for patients with a focus on accuracy and safety.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing systems and assist in inventory management to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to review prescriptions for potential drug interactions and allergies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Assist in the compounding of medications and the processing of insurance claims.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or state license if applicable).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
