Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication inventory and compounding records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Utilize pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell) for dispensing
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and Florida Board regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medications
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in dispensing and documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic math skills for compounding and dosage calculations
