Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of prescription medications.
- Receive and verify incoming prescriptions from doctors, patients, and other healthcare providers.
- Operate pharmacy computer systems to accurately input patient data and medication orders.
- Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and processing purchase orders for supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding insurance, copays, and medication usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in the processing of insurance claims and refill requests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior pharmacy experience necessary; we value attitude and willingness to learn over experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic math skills and computer literacy (typing and navigating software).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
