Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding prescriptions.
- Assist in the cleaning and organization of the pharmacy department to maintain a safe environment.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong desire to learn and work in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and math skills.
- Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (or willingness to obtain) is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
