Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Assist in sterile compounding and IV preparation
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and certification preparation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior pharmacy experience required – training provided
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Commitment to obtaining PTCB certification within 6 months
