Job Overview
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive the medications they need safely and efficiently. You will work closely with licensed pharmacists to dispense prescriptions, manage inventory, and provide excellent customer service to our community.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and packaging prescription medications for patients.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and processing incoming orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering phone inquiries, and processing payments.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, McKesson) to input data accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Willingness to participate in the paid on-the-job training program.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
