Responsibilities
- Prepare and fill prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain inventory levels and order pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Perform basic medical tests, such as blood glucose or cholesterol screenings, as directed.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current state license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Pennsylvania.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
