Responsibilities
- Accurately verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders before processing prescriptions.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling, dosage, and safety checks.
- Assist the Pharmacist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and reordering supplies.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and electronic health record systems efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding prescription status and insurance coverage.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and calculations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
