Responsibilities
- Process and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to prevent drug interactions.
- Prepare and package medication orders, ensuring proper labeling and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure medications are always available.
- Assist customers with insurance questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
- Participate in routine quality assurance checks and staff training sessions.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and state pharmacy laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- CPR certification is a plus.
