Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, including dosage, frequency, and drug interactions.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide appropriate counseling under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and pharmacy management software systems efficiently.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay transactions with high accuracy.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred, but willing to train highly motivated candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Valid driver's license (if required for delivery duties).
