Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine priority and urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or ER visits
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Train new triage staff on department procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
