Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, calculate dosages, and ensure proper labeling.
- Assist customers with insurance verification, processing payments, and answering general pharmacy questions.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting monthly audits.
- Perform basic drug utilization reviews and assist in medication therapy management where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and improve patient service.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license in good standing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
