Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions using pharmacy software systems
- Dispense medications and verify prescriptions for accuracy
- Manage inventory control and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV medications (as certified)
- Assist with pharmacy operations and workflow optimization
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- NC pharmacy technician license (or ability to obtain immediately)
