Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and refill procedures
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 6 months pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation
