Responsibilities
- Verify and prepare prescription medications by accurately filling and labeling orders.
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing process and ensuring patient safety.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance, and medications.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment compliant with health regulations.
- Assist with compounding sterile preparations when required.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
