As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the vital link between patients and their medications, ensuring safety and efficiency in every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescription orders for accuracy, dosage, and patient information.
- Prepare medications by counting, pouring, measuring, and compounding as directed.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance, and medication questions.
- Manage inventory by checking stock levels and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist in the compounding and packaging of medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle insurance claims and process payments accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification Required: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Must be meticulous in verifying prescriptions and data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
- Flexibility: Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
