Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and IV preparations under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, and compounding of sterile products
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Conduct quality assurance checks and regulatory compliance audits
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Coordinate with nursing staff for medication administration
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB or ExCPT certification mandatory
- Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding standards
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
