Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automated dispensing systems
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate prescriptions
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active NC Pharmacy Technician license or eligible for reciprocity
- PTCB or ExCPT certification required (ASCP preferred)
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy law
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screening required
