Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding and reviewing prescriptions for safety and potential drug interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving patient concerns efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully compliant pharmacy environment.
- Process electronic claims and handle cash transactions accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible for certification (PTCB/ExCPT).
- Valid California State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
