Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently following state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving complaints, and offering medication counseling where appropriate.
- Assist the Pharmacist with clinical tasks, such as medication therapy management and immunizations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent state registration.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner).
