Responsibilities
- Precisely dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision with zero-error standards
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility with 98%+ accuracy
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure electronic health records
- Train on cutting-edge pharmacy automation systems including robotic dispensing
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication regimens
- Lead inventory audits and waste reduction initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Expertise in medication compounding and sterile preparation
- Advanced proficiency in pharmacy management software (QS1, Rx30, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated error prevention
- Strong customer service skills with conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced environments
